For whatever it's worth, from me to you, here's my year.....
The racing year starts for me, at the Daytona 200 Party, at the Shark Club.
Although I am always proud and happy to support the Westwood Motorcycle Racing Club at my event, but I surprised everyone this year by sneaking in a fundraiser for the B.C. Hospital For Sick Kids as well. Nobody complained! Lucky for them, I have a racer's fuse! The event was grand as always. Special note to jetshoes(Debbie), Mark McColeman(racer not on this board), Marbod, my pal Bog, Pete (yamaholic), and the awesome people from the Hospital For Sick Kids, and the Shark Club, and many many more. We raised over $4,000. Who figured going bald in public would feel so good!
I figure they (the kids) still have more balls than I do ;-)
Get ready for a bigger drive, more bald people (looking for brave women with a big heart, celebrities, etc), and ......................
A private thanks to Imperial Motorcycles and MSpeed performance for their help, for the WMRC, and for me personally.
To the BCSB group, thanks for the help in getting racing going here in B.C. I have filled every roll except superstar, and they (the actual superstars) say thanks as well, one and all, to every member on this board, and at the track, who helped this year. True and absotutely thank you very much. A lot of people don't get to stick around long enough to hear racers say thanks, but they consistently do.
To the VROM group, Julia, the spirit of Bog, for your charity and support with Bernie's Sick Kid's drive, WMRC support, Firemen's Burn Camp Fund help, thanks from the bottom of my heart.
Finally, thanks to all the helpers and students from the WestcoastSuperbike School, I had a blast. The schools get harder and harder to fit into my schedule, but what an incredible group of people and friends I have had the pleasure of meeting. And I can't quit now, I heard something about a ladies only school
I got to play racer once this year, thanks to Marcus (scudafi on here), and again I find myself checking casually for a good race SV650!!
Nothing's perfect, but you guys help ;-)
In other words, smiles for miles, see you at the bike show.
I might edit this again as I remember more. Old age has it's pains, and crap spelling and shit memory are among the first!
