I was chatting with a friend about the rather odd street-racing laws that exist in BC and the equally odd behaviour of our police forces. He thought that I was full of it and looked up some of what I was talking about. He then forwarded to me a case in which he and I found these quotes from the crown in regard to the admission of a cop as an expert.
"Constable [Name removed by Sandworm] gathers information through undercover operations and Internet surveillance so that he can learn about modifications that are being made to motor vehicles such as driving with race-type suspensions and removing catalytic converters, all of which equip the cars to perform better as racing cars"
"Through surveillance, Constable [name removed] also determines where the proposed races are going to happen"
Now this was from a car-type street racing case, but 'motorcycle' fits under the deffinition of motorvehicle in BC. Now where would a cop go to get information about Sportbikes in BC?
Any lurkers out there want to respond?
I'm also a little confused as to how the name of an 'undercover' officer made it into the public record.
