I was reading the thread about people's insurance expiring and people wanting to extend their insurance...
What is wrong with everyone? Why do you insure for less than one year? Is it because you don't have enough money for a whole years ins?
You realise that you pay a surcharge for buying less than a years insurance right?
You also realise that ICBC has a monthly payment plan right? Sur eyou pay interest on it.. but at least you don't pay the short term surcharge as mentioned above.. There are also benefits to this..
a) if you don't have the money for the whole year as mentioned above.. you pay monthly.
b) You start and end your policy term when ever you want. If the weather stay dry and you want to keep your bike on the road longer.. then you get to do so...
c) You Pay no cancelation Fee (30$) as long as you purchase storage ins after you cancel. Heck even if you're not going to purchase storage ins you're gonna get charged the 30$.. so why not take 30 bux worth of storage insurance for free?
The only reason I can think of as to why you wouldn't buy a whole years ins is because you want to keep your licence plate.. not a big deal to me at all..
I'd like to hear some feedback from you guys as I am lost here
BTW. I'm an autoplan broker and just want to know why anyone would take a short policy...
