Whats up guys? This is my first post on these boards. I am looking forward to getting to know all of you and to learn a lot from reading all of your post's.
Driving has always been a passion of mine, so i've always wanted to buy a bike and start riding. So about 5 months ago i just did it.
In my quest to become the best rider that i can, i have been reading some great books and practicing techniques to become as familiar with the bike as possible. One of the things i have been practicing is threshold braking from various speeds up to 70mph. I have learned that braking is probably the most important thing to riding technique.
I want to learn to do an endo/stoppie. Not because i want to look cool or anything, i want to learn so that i know the absolute limit's of the brakes. I want to have the most feel i can possibly have. I want to know what it feels like to have the rear tire off of the ground. I put a little effort into trying this on my own, but was unsuccessful. Although i did not completely commit because i have had no direction from anyone. Actually, my front wheel locked up for a split sec. I have a 95' Suzuki Katana. Is the bike to heavy to get the back tire up? I think it's dry weight is around 440-450lbs.
Can anybody advise me on how to learn to do this technique safely?
Looking forward to your responses. Sorry my firsy post was a bit long.
Thanks in advance.
