Yup, it's true.
I got a call from the surrey RCMP late last night telling me that it's in one piece and that I can come pick it up on Friday.
The best part was how they figured out it was mine.
It had a new frame with no VIN (I was in the process of applying for a BC VIN) so they couldn't do the regular search in the computer for my claim. And since my claim was with the Richmond RCMP it would have been hard for them to connect it to me.
Get this. THE STUPID THIEF LEFT MY RACE NUMBERS ON IT!!!!
The officer was smart enough to call Al Beck of WMRC and ask if racer number 824 had a bike stolen.
I am just happy that that officer was smart and nice enough to do the research to find out the number to the prez of the race club so that he could find out the owner if the bike.
Merry Christmas and Happy Birthday to me.
