If you've never watched it before, check it out....SuMo racing has to be one of the most entertaining spectator sports of all-time.

Tried it once and found it boring. It's neither one thing nor the other. I like watching sportbikes and dirtbikes, but SM isn't really a class, it's more of a compromise.
    What was it all about?

I've never heard of anyone refer to it as a compromise, more like the best of both worlds.

So you don't like rally racing either? It's sort of like the motorcycling equivelent...sliding it sideways through every turn, taking jumps, changing road surfaces, etc...

If you'd rather watch nascar, or whatever else is usually on speedchannel, be my guest!

As an old ex Dirttracker, Iceracer and MXer I have to say this would
be the ultimate fun and bang for the buck. Anybody who wants to really
learn how to ride should start on one of these....

I want a supermoto more than any other bike. But I've just put too much into the SV to sell or trade. When the time comes for me to buy another bike. YZ450F!!! Sliding and jumping, it would be great for a hooligan like me.
If you wanna go Faster, take it to the track.

Good point. I love Rally, so maybe I'll give it another go.

NASCAR? Yecch! That was uncalled for.

You're right Lloyd, that last comment was a bit uncalled for.

Harps... i don't know where this term came from and i have to admit that i'm not dedicated enough to have come across it before but i just want to say for the record that i plan to not incorporate it into my slang vocabulary.

did you make it up? or am i just out of touch?

I heard someone (can't remebmer who?) using that term on supermotojunkie...and I thought it was kind of funny, so I told myself I'd try to throw it in somewhere.

I get this image of fat Japanese guys in diapers trying to 'race'...actually maybe you're right, that isn't exactly a pretty picture.
