Hey everyone --
I'm still pretty new to this site and haven't posted much but I thought I'd start. I'm taking my course at the end of April, but am already going through the RoadSense for Riders - safe riding guide that you have to study in order to take the initial computer test. I assume that a few things have changed since I took my driver's test 8 yrs ago... but I've come across a few things that I'm a bit unclear about and was wondering if you guys could help clarify them for me....
1. pg 42 -- Yellow lines
It shows/says that a single solid yellow line - vehicles travelling in either direction may pass when it is safe..... how come I don't remember this from my driving exam?? I thought a single solid line divided a two way street and similar to a double solid line you weren't allowed to cross over it (ie. pass other vehicles)...
2. pg 48 - Red light
It says that -- ...'you may turn right or turn left onto a one-way street...' after you have stopped and made sure the interestion is clear... turning right I understand.... but turning left onto a 1-way street??? Do they mean if you're on a 1-way street and turning onto another one?? And I always thought that if you had to cross traffic (especially if you're turning from a 2 way street) that you had to follow the signal.
Am I thinking too much about these and just making myself confused???
Like I mentioned, if you guys could help me out I would greatly appreciate it!
