I've got an '02 ZX6R that I've been considering changing the sprockets on.
I know through Vortex I can go one down in the front and up to a 50 tooth in the rear while using a 525 chain. I know that my stock chain is too short to go much more than 1 down in the front and maybe 2 up in the rear.
My question is, why does it seem that everyone is doing a 520 conversion when they need new sprockets? I thought it was sprocket availability, but Vortex seems to have that covered.
BTW, I'm doing the WCSB school this spring and would like to go Novice racing, that why I'm changing up the sprockets for a bit more punch.
