So last night I'm checking out the bike, and looks like one of the pistons on the front left caliper was sticking...causing a premature death of my pads. Run out, and guys at honda centre had pads for me..yippie (awesome folk out there). Cleaned up the shit on the piston, and it looks like it's going back in now. INstall new pads, and after the lines have presure it looks like the pads are gripping (hard) all the time. Blead the lines more, which helped and I thought i was done, and that the piston was just sticking still...nope
This morning after frosty almost kicked my ass with biting the brakes too much, I took apart them again. It looks like all pistons, on both calipers, can't retract enough to make room for the pads. If the pistons are all the way back, the pads have room and are touching the disc with minimal friction.
Could the problem lie with the master cylinder? Fluid was changed in october, there was some gunk in the resevoir, and that was cleaned, but im thinking I'm gonna have to rip it apart to see what's goin on in there. Any Ideas fellas?? TIA
Oh, and I'm talking about my vfr(calipers are sames as cbr600'87-90), running ebc rotors and ebc hh pads
