Shipping bike accross Canada
I need to ship my bike across Canada, to Nova Scotia, and I am wondering where is a place that I can contact to have it all done.
I would appreciate the info.
Anyone there with advice on which company to contact and ship a bike

You need to crate the bike and stick it on a pallete then anyone will ship it for ya.
Yeah what he said.
Open the yellow pages and start calling transport companies.
Have the information they need available, dimensions, weight, lift truck capable (can a forklift get under it), and shipping requirements (exposed flat deck okay or does it need to be inside a container)
Build your crate strong and they'll be stacking stuff on top of it, and holding it in place with cargo bars or 2x4's.
We've had good service from Yellow Transport with odd size and heavy items
Well Oliver, if you are going to Halifax for a job CRA will let you write off all of your expenses if you were to "ride across Canada"
If you were taking it easy you could ride there in 5 or 6 days, say over the May Long weekend - assuming you have the right gear to make the trip comfortably and safely.
Even Flying back to Van from NS on Wetjet if you booked far enough ahead and the cost of riding across Canada would not be that much more than shipping.
We looked at shipping bikes last year and it was going to be about 800 a bike plus plus. Eric (Spacely) would know who John Valk uses for their trips.
You might find it cheaper to actually ship your bike from Bellinghan to Maine ( Delearship to Dealership) than use a Canadain carrier. Some of the US Bike carriers provide pallets as well. DO a search on google
