I'm predicting that the 2005 best loser will be Kawasaki's new Z750S. To be honest, it was my favourite new bike at the show, but I don't think the riding gene pool here is smart enough to see what a great bike this will be. The ergo's were spot on, the fairing looks as if it provides the protection that the one on the FZ1 doesn't, and it's very unique in its looks.
If you're shopping for a new sport bike in '05, and have never chucked an upright bike like this around in the twisties, give one a test. You'd be amazed that you'll have less pucker factor moments, and will probably be even faster than you could be on a sportier bike.
I haven't ridden one, but with the engine being the same as the Z1000, bore reduced to make it a 750, the cool wheels, and great ergo's as stated above I'll claim it as being one of the best bikes that doesn't make it in this market.
I hope I'm proved wrong.
