We have completed a portion of our schedule for 2005 and we have also added Track Daze at Mission Raceway for 2005. Track Daze will give riders interested in trying out the track an opportunity to get out there without a race license and with minimal bike prep. The cost will be $150 for non race licensed riders and the days will run from 9 am to 4 pm. We hope to offer a safe and fun day on the track for riders who want a chance to try their skills out away from the street. We currently have 4 days at Mission Raceway booked for Track Daze.
We our also running our regular courses, Advanced Rider Training (ART) and Racer Training for the Track . We have 4 sessions of the Racer Training scheduled for the year and so far 3 ART courses to which we will be adding more. This year instead of running the Mission Raceway portion of the Racer Training on WMRC test and tune days we will instead be running in conjunction with our own Track Daze. We will be limiting entry to Track Daze so students get maximum track time at Mission. Also, we will be relaxing the bike prep rules for the Racer Training to make it easier for people to take the course without fully commiting to prepping their bikes (you will still be required to perform a full race prep on your bike if you plan to ride in any WMRC events at Mission).
We have also made arrangements to come to the Island and cover the Bike Prep, Classroom and Tradex (we will cover this at Saratoga) portions of the Racer Training for the Track Course. We are planning on getting this stuff taken care of on April 10 and 11. This way Island riders will only have to come to the mainland once, on April 18, for the Mission Raceway portion of the course.
For our first Mission date, Monday, April 18, we will have both Steve Dick, #1 Plate holder in BC and Alberta and former Canadian Superbike Champ, and Mike Sullivan, #1 Plate holder in Washington and former Formula USA National Champ, as guest instructors. Mike of course owns the Mike Sullivan Motorcycle Road Racing School that runs in Washington and Oregon. It will be pretty cool to have these top pro riders helping us out. You can check out Steve's site here and Mike's school site here .
For those of you who do not have a bike for the track or do not want to use your own street bike in our courses (it is recommended that you use your own bike in the ART course), we do have track bikes available.
