After my ride last week I had some serious thinking to do. I've ridden very fast for a very long time and it can't last forever. At some point my luck has to run out and I either lose my license or lose my life. I don't wish to play the shortening odds any more, and I sold my bike this weekend and will never ride again. It's been a great 20 years, but I'm now finished with it. Something happened last Sunday and made me realize the folly of what I was doing. It wasn't something tangible, but more like coming to my senses. I can't ride slow and I have no interest in riding on the track. Thanks to all who made the last couple of years of my riding so much fun. Special thanks to Human, RyanR, Uwe and Stevo.
So long, amigos. Ride safe and I'll keep an eye for out you.
