I'm comfortable with just about any work that needs done on my bike. 99% of the time I take things apart, figure them out and fix it on my own. My chain and sprockets are finished and I'd like to replace them myself. Is this a do it yourself kind of job? Am I going to be able to buy a chain splitter from a local shop? I'd never dealt with a chain on a motorcycle, is that something that's just better left for the shop? Is it worth paying Carter $160 to do it for me(I'd really rather not). Is there anything else I should know? Finally, living in Whistler means I don't have a local shop. I've only dealt with Carter on Granville because I don't know the city very well or how to get to all these shops everyone talks about. All I need is a few parts to get the bike runnig for spring.. Any sugestions?
I know,, It was a lot of questions, Thanks in Advance
