I had a little mishap while snowboarding at Blackcomb on Saturday and broke my radial bone at my wrist. At least it was the last run of the day and I did manage to get a few good jumps in before bailing on a rail. So much for insuring the bike and enjoying the weather!
I don’t recommend anyone to go to VGH emergency unless you like long waits and whinny people. While I was waiting I saw an overprotective mother and her 16 year old son with a 2 degree temperature (poor kid) and some woman who had a zit behind her ear that she thought was spreading! Before you all start in on the better safe than sorry stuff, I just gotta say that some things are better taken to the clinic not the ER.
Well anyway they diagnosed me with a fracture only two days late, calling me on Tuesday to come in for a cast as they finally noticed it in my x-ray from Sunday morning. -It seems everyone has a similar story.
I had to tape a picture of the wrist bones detailing exactly what broke to my cast as I got tired of relaying the same information 300 times a day. Since this picture I added “Not Motorcycle Related” across the knuckles to alleviate everyone’s second question.
I'm thinking that with a little modification to my cast using a dremel tool I may be able to ride my cruiser at least
