On the way back from Harrison, by way of Stave Lake I was hanging behind Scooter(Brian) when was casually wave at a passing Harley. I waved as well, and as I passed him, I heard this "ssSSSCREEECH-BOOOM!!!!!". I look in the rearview, and I see sparks and something big and red low-siding down the road. I immediately turn around to help the guy out. His riding buddy pulls up and is kneeling next to him as myself, Brian and passing motorist come to see if he's okay. After a bit he gets up and says "damn". He seems alright except for scrapes on his jacket, scuffs on his shoes and a hole at the knee of his jeans. His passenger seems better off than he. Maybe she baled and he when down with the ship....I'm not sure. The bike seemed fine except for a bent highway peg, slight fairing damage and scuffed up chrome. The accident looked worse than it was. The bike looked brand new, and I'm assuming from what I saw of the pilot, so was he. The other assumption is that he may have misjudged the distance to the the vehicle in front of him, because he stated that he grabbed a little too much front brake when he low-sided.
We assume that Hayley guys never wave because they are snobs or have 'tudes. Or that those front forks are at such an angle, or the engine is vibing so much that maybe, they're holding on for dear life.
Maybe they're just new at the game.
