UPDATE ON SAVE VEDDER MOUNTAIN CAMPAIGN
The following information was sent to us by one of our off-road reps:
A lot has came of the meeting with the ministries and the Coalition for Vedder Mtn. To sum it up, Logging has been put on hold until a master plan has been developed. Most of the Trails on Vedder have been GPS'd at this point for Registration. We have a lot to work out, some examples are:
- We also will have to have a solution to deal with Riders that intend on having Loud bikes due to lack of maintenance, or from just simply being modified.
- Our trails are going to be Sanctioned. An Agreement has to be created to have them restored. The initial logging plan will have to be modified to accommodate all the interest groups.
- A Non-Profit Coalition is being formed and registered for Vedder Mountain. This Coalition will be responsible for taking care of all the concerns being presented at this time and in the future.
- There is a lot being accomplished and I have only scratched the surface. Everyone Please keep up the pressure and hard work.
