OK, this question is about the Basic Autoplan coverage from ICBC. It's not really motorcycle-specific, but in my application it will be for my motorcycle.
Suppose I only have basic coverage. If I'm in an accident involving another driver/vehicle, damages to my bike be covered by... whose insurance? Or not at all?
I'm thinking their insurance will cover me so long as I'm not considered at fault?
The "third-party legal liability" component of *my* basic would cover any damage I cause to someone else's property. So I assume the reverse is true if someone causes damage to my property (ie. my bike)?
If I'm at fault I understand (?) I have no coverage for damage to my bike. That's what a Collision policy is for.
