Just reading through a live journal post of a guy I know. He got pulled over riding a bicycle at night without a helmet and no lights. The cops said he would give him a warning for the no helmet and didn't seem to care about it but for the lights he got a ticket for $109!. I don't understand how rollerbladers or skaterboards don't need to have lights but bicycles do?. Could he dispute the ticket?. What if he didn't pay? He doesn't have a drivers license so they can't take his license away or anything. I'm just curious...never heard anyone actually getting ticketed for this.
