FATAL MOTOR VEHICLE CRASH
King George Hwy & 132 Street, Surrey, B.C.
On 2005-03-17 at approx 2115 hrs, Surrey RCMPolice happened upon a serious motor vehicle crash involving a motorcycle on King George Hwy & 132 Street. Upon attendance by police it was noted that the offending vehicle had fled southbound on 132 Street after the crash. Investigation revealved that the motorcycle operator had been southbound on King George Hwy when he was struck by the northbound left turning vehicle at 132 Street.
Witnesses to the incident advised that the vehicle that fled was described as a newer model gold coloured compact vehicle driven by a sole male driver. Damage should have been sustained on the vehicle front end , possibly including broken windows.
The operator of the motorcycle died as a result of injuries sustained in the crash. The name of the deceased is being withheld until the notification of next of kin.
