well I found it a surprise on thursday when I heard that my helmet wont qualify for use at mission this year racing.
As I have just recently decided to race this year at mission (taking the wcsb race school) I have not attended any previous meetings and do not know of the reason for the ban.
My helmet exceeds both d.o.t. and Snell standard testing, so I find it hard understand the reasoning.
Further, though mission is a faster track than some, I'm sure its not the fastest supermoto track out there. If they are good enough for every road coarse in the states and europe, and the pro's that ride there, why not for mission?
I'm not trying to lash out but more am looking at explinations for rules that I dont know the reasoning behind.
I value my head and bought a high quality helmet for supermoto racing this year and its too bad I might have to stick it on a shelf. And before someone mentions, just buy a cheap road helmet, like I said I value my head and would have to put up a lot of money for one... hell that money could go to 2 sets of tires if I could just use the fully snell approved and exceeded helmet I already purchased.
Is there a number where I can reach wmrc board members who would be aware of the reasoning?
