I just got back home last night from a road trip that took me from here (langley) to Quesnel, Prince George down to Blackie (just south of Calgary) and then back home.
I really gotta tell ya that the Highway from Golden to about Malaquaw "IS THE BIGGEST PIECE OF SHIT HIGHWAY"!!!! that I have ever had the missfortune of driving over. The frost heaves and the potholes were so friggin bad that it had traffic slowed to 20 km/h and most cars as well as mine where still bottoming out
The winter driving conditions were great with bare and dry roads on friday anyway. Monday March 21 drive from Quesnel to Calgary was some of the worst winter driving conditions I have ever seen. I had to be diverted from Jasper to Edmonton cause the Icefield parkway was snowed in!. The drive from Hinton to Calgary (via Edmonton) had me going through everything from Freezing rain and black ice to blowing snow and whiteout conditions with some other shit thrown in for good measure.
All of the highways I had driven over on this trip were great, good surfaces and smooth, apart from what mother nature and old man winter had thrown at me the drive was great....except!!!!! The rogers pass!!!! Man that is really, really one p.o.s highway!
