So who's all going down next weekend?
looks like it'll be wet, so better bring the rain tires.
We will be there, team D&B...you can't miss us...with the new bright orange paint..we will be there for the adrenaline freaks track day too! see you there....rains are already mounted!
I think we have to help with the WMRC cleanup. I can't go on the 2nd, but I've got a valid excuse, have a rugby game. If any is left for Sunday I will be there.
Don't worry Al...we don't...and in terms of cash....usually people want to pay us not to come...Originally Posted by Rainman
No really, it sucked that they are on the same weekend otherwise we would be out there to help....
I have been doing a lot of digging around this site, and I can't figure out where is the track located in Seattle. I am pretty new in the area sorry.
Is there a website and map somewhere you guys could lead me to ?
Maybe a sticky post with all the tracks within BC, and washington state would be useful on this site.
Good luck Amber and say the same to that old slowpoke of a husband. Traveling in style this time?
Just an update, Amber and Co. are doing quite well. Amber raced last race of the day and finished 4th or 5th in the rain (not sure because there was a major crash and then they called the race)

It rained alot
Colin went down but did come back out for the next race (I'll let him give more details)
I have a metric ton of pictures of Chad, Amber, Colin, and Kirby that I am working on getting posted soon.
Well BBones is right.. i did have a small mishap!!! but all and all It was a great weekend for all of us, Amber did finish 4TH in her first Pro Race...I't was her first time on rains and by lap 4 she had her knee down.... ( And I couldn't watch ) half way through the race she had large enough gap behind her she back it off ( I could then watch again) and on the last lap, Rick Ranoldo #123 had a Huge crash in 8 , and was taken to the hospital. ( He is O.K) that move Amber into 4th overall. Amber did finish 8th in the open GP Race, ( Yes that was last ) But..... that littel 748 against 1000s and 999R's... Not to mention it was raining AGAIN!! and 4 crashed out.
~ As for Chad Barber, #755 He is riding his 02 gsxr 600, On friday Chad was having so problems with the front end,but on sat. Dave From GP Tech sorted it out. And Chad was on the move His 1st novice heat was on SAT. Chad Finished 5th.... 1st through 4th where all 1L bikes. Sunday was a different story Rain Again and Chad finished 12th , the race was called on lap 5. There was oil in turn 6&7, which chewed up bikes all day long 15 in total. ( Kirby was runing 2nd when we crashed a brought out the red).
~ I only finished 12th in the 750SBK , The race was called because of rain on lap 4. It was raining at the start and we where all on Dot's ( crazy ) On sunday the first race was 600SbK ( It was raining Again ) on lap 4 there was a restart ( Red Flag) by turn 4 I was in 5th and on the move, what's when it all went Wrong... #4 bike , spiked the breaks going into turn 4, I moved to the inside for the pass and he cut down on me , and i was on my head like that ...... I'm sure BBones will post the Link for the Pics.
- I had only 40min to get the bike ready for the next race , Thanks to the crew and #407 Justin Kemp the bike was ready. ( Justin i owe you big time)
Its too bad the shifter fell off in turn 9 on the first lap, I was choked ... So i turnd around at the bus stop rip into the pits , grabed another shifter and went out 4 laps down. ....... But i finished 16th for 1 pt.
I would like to thank all our sponsors, for helping us out this weekend ,Action (DAT) , D&B , Thairedbull.ca , Mspeed , Anduccis , EuroCorse , Pirelli , EBC and BBONES for some crazy pics.
What a great weekend! Despite the rain and the crashes we had a great time.
For starters no matter what Amber did she could not beat the rain all weekend. Trackday Friday she missed two of her sessions because of sparadic rain showers catching her with the wrong tires. Then Saturday the weather was beautiful all through the practice sessions and perfect for my race. Then the rain came just in time for her race, even after a panicked tire change she held it together and did really well! I wish I could say the same for Rick, WOW, what a crash! He had us all scared for a while but it was really great to see him the next day come back to pick up his truck and trailer.
Colin as usual was absolutely flying! I don't understand it but he absolutely loves the rain. He was easily headed for a top 5 when he had his crash in turn 4. Hopefully BBones posts the pics up or posts a link. He had to do some dancing out there to not get hit. I couldn't help but laugh when Brandon showed us the pictures.
As for my weekend, I am pretty happy with the results. Last year I was running a ZX9R and could eat up practically anyone on the straight and then frustrate the hell out of them in the turns. Now it was my turn to experience that. I did not hit my target lap time, but I honestly think I could of if it had been dry on Sunday. Friday was my first time on my GSXR 600, it took alot of adjusting to keep that thing in the power range. Still tons of fun! The rain race on Sunday was pretty stressfull, we were warned to be careful through turns 6 and 7 as oil was starting to surface. They were not kidding, those corners ate up more bikes yesterday alone than I have seen on any doubleheader weekend. Poor Kirby found out just how bad it was when he Highsided in turn 6 and ended up laying in the middle of turn 7 bringing out the red flag. Kirby is fine, he was a little stunned for a bit but came out alright. Just to show you how bad turn 7 was, Mike Sullivan WMRRA's #1 plate holder who hardly ever crashes at Pacific raceways, was eaten up by it ending up underneath the airfence. We all still had a great time and can't wait for the next trip down.
I really would like to thank Amber and Colin for making it all possible without their help I really don't think it would be possible for me.
Also If you guys ever go down to Pacific Raceways look up Brandon Bones (BBones) he is a great photographer!
Great report guys. And congrats to all the excellent performances. Even the accident shortend ones. Hey, it doesn't show on the results but at least YOU know how you rate.
A backyard mechanic without a service manual is just like a hooker without a lamp pole.... they are both in the dark.
