Today is the day to put the bike back on the road. Yay!
When I put the bike away I followed the instructions at http://www.clarity.net/adam/winter-storage.html. I changed the oil and put in some cheap stuff.
Now it's about 6 months later. I will want to change the oil again, as well as slap on a new filter.
Question: should I start the bike up and let the engine oil warm before changing it? Or should I drain the oil "cold" ?
The existing oil is probably a bit mucky since the bike has not been run in 6 months. Do I want to start the engine and get it all mixed up?! I would think it better to drain it AS IS, but will it drain sufficiently when cold?
The instructions I have suggest that I start the engine first, but it's not super-clear.
