Any MST/Road Test examiners on board? Share your stories!
What the title says...
Any tales of tests that went badly? Testees that reacted badly? Stories that are inspirational, funny, or worthy of note? Or does anyone want to share their own test experience?
This ought to be good. Hopefully you'll get some response.
When I did my road test in Burnaby, the tester told me the grease strip is a myth.

Instructors who ride demos and mess it up or crash are always good. They're good for other instructors to poke fun at them for the next 6 months, and also good to show students that not even instructors are perfect.
Last summer (I think), one of our instructors was doing a circle inside a u-turn box and he crashed. It was 12:55p and the afternoon students start at 1pm, so EVERYONE was standing there waiting and watching. The instructor also happened to be at the closest possible point so everyone could clearly see him. He crashed and laid down spread eagle and everyone just laughed. I was the only one to go over and see if he was ok... he was with a big grin on his face!
I've also had a student ride into the ditch at Boundary Bay. It had rained the night before, so the ditch was FULL of water. Student was soaked, bike had wet grass hanging all over it. Since they were ok (and came back out after changing), it was quite funny! Look where you want to go, right? They didn't want to go to the ditch but couldn't stop looking at it, so.... SPLASH!
Had a few unintentional wheelies. Some of our bikes have short wheel bases and fairly decent clutches, so bring the revs up and... BANG! Instant wheelie! There's the initial "holy crap" look on their face and then the "that was cool" smile!
One student in theory insisted that if a Moose were to run out in front of you, you should try to speed up to possibly cut it in half instead of slamming on the brakes and possibly crashing into it.
Most of the really fun stuff happens when there's no students around... can't share that stuff though!
I thought it was funny that the guy before me at my MST did a full race tuck when on the straight. I mean seriously... 30km/h? hahahaha
Ya gotta do what you gotta do! Makes you more aerodynamic!
