Okay everyone congratulate me on my first ever successful do-it-myself carb cleaning! Got the bike running...now I've got a couple of questions!
I'll do it in a point form layout as not to confuse any of you fine BCSB'ers
1) Upon starting, the bike revs up really high (no tach, can't give an exact number) and remains revving high for a few seconds, and then comes back down to a regular idle. Why is this, and how can I fix it?
2) When I twist the throttle just the slightest bit it again, revs very high and remaind revving high for a while, then comes back down...it's not smooth at all! Why? and how can I fix it?
3) I noticed a crackling sound coming from the engine...Confused I looked down and at the spark plug, and to my surprise the spark was jumping from the top of the spark plug (through the rubber) to the head! Why and How?
4) After a few starts, and tuning the idle to get the bike to remain running I let it warm up for a bit and then tried to push the choke in...It died...
Tried again, pushing the choke in very little bits at a time and right away it would crap out and die again...Why and How?
That's all for now! I am most concerned with the high revs because I know that as soon as I try to put it in gear it will jump and stall or throw me off buck style...Please HELP!
