I'm sitting in a law library in Massachusetts pining for the mountain air of the west coast. You guys don’t know how great the ridding is in BC unless you’ve driven the nightmare that is the east coast.
Is the Duffy still where I left it?
Do the cops still set up just after the overpass at westmount?
In the late afternoon, can you still see bears crossing the highway in Manning Park?
Do riders still stop at that golf course in Pemberton to have breakfast and watch the gliders?
Do Vancouver riders still meet up at the swan?
Do north shore rides still meet at the church?
Is the needles ferry still free?
Can you still cut through Stanley Park even though the gate to the bridge is “closed” after four?
I’m only going to have eight weeks this summer to answer all these questions for myself. My blue, three-headlighted, VFR will be back on the road in a month, but it feels more like year. Just four more exams to go!
