Well, I'm thinking about tackling the 12/24,000 K service on my '02 ZX6R.
I have a good torque wrench, a really good set (several sets actually) of feeler gauges and tons of hand tools. What I don't have is the service manual or a set of the carb synchronizing sticks. Where can I get this stuff from anyway?
I have never synched carbs or done a shim under bucket valve adjust, but I have done valve adjustments on both VTEC and non-VTEC honda motors.
Am I taking on too much? I came across this website http://www.themcdonalds.net/richard/...x6r/zx6r.shtml
and the process SEEMS straight forward if you take your time. Any opinions on whether I should just get BK to do it, or should I do it myself?
I also needs to change the fork oil, is this a difficult task?
Thanks for the advice. BK will do a full service for about $400 in labour (carb synch, valve adjust, tweek the carbs for the bolt on can, change fork oil, check bearings blah blah blah)
ANy thoughts? Tee Tee, I'm looking to you buddy!
