Another GSXR1000 went to Bike heven today luckily the rider didn't follow.
A very good friend of mine decide to lend his bike to another friend of mine. His bike was a 2001, GSXR1000. My buddie who was borrowing the bike was thrilled!!(who wouldn't be) We all decided to go for a ride up Mt. Seymour. Second time up, my buddie lost control and rode over a cliff!! (No Kidding) We didn't see the accident only the dust cloud. The buddie who lent his bike was there, (He was riding his wifes GSXR750) and in true sportrider fashion his only concern was if he was OK.
Long story short,
He should get out of surgery tomorrow (to put pins in his broken arm and the bike is a total loss. Thanks "Joe Rocket" your jacket saved my friends life (at least his skin)
Moral of the story,
1. Never, ever, lend your bike to anyone!
2. Never lend a GSXR1000 to a inexperienced rider (we underestimated how much riding experience he had.)
3. Mt Seymour is no place for a newbie (trying to catch up with faster riders)
The bike is at Payless yard in North Vancouver if your interested.
