This is a hollow bolt often used in connecting brake lines to master cylinders and calipers. It both secures the brake line and allows fluid to pass through it.

    04 Kawi Z1000,
..And you can find them stocked on the shelf next to the Guitar Grommets.....

The ends of your brake lines have that fitting with the tube connected to the hollow ring. That tube and ring is called the banjo fitting due to the resemblance to a banjo without the sound skin on it. The bolt with the holes in it that holds the banjo fitting to the master cylinder or caliper is, strangely enough, called the banjo bolt.
A backyard mechanic without a service manual is just like a hooker without a lamp pole.... they are both in the dark.
