My girlfriends VTR250's Stator died,
I replaced the Stator and now the bike runs / Creates a charge ..... However the Battery just dies ... I do not think the bike is charging the Battery.
I performed the Tests for the Regulator/Rectifier and I have No resistance between the yellow wires so I am pretty sure the RR is Toast.
Here's the question. The battery is being Drained Rapidly like there is a short. It will not start the Bike even if my Ohm-meter shows 12V on the Batt.
After trying a couple of times the Battery read 4V
It is a brand New battery .. The second one actually because I thought the first one I bought was junk and exchanged it.
Does anyone KNow if the Rectifier is toast it will create a Short or drain on the Battery ?
I'd hate to Spend 150$ on the rectifier to find out its a short ... Even if the rectifier tests failed
