I've decided to plan a ride just for those of us who respond to help other people at their most miserable.
This ride is open to all emergency personnel only: firefighters, paramedics, police (RCMP, municipal, railway), search and rescue volunteers and Coast Guard.
I know there's a few on this board and I thought it would be neat for all of us to meet up.
WHEN: May 28.
MEET: 8:45 a.m. at the church in North Van.
WHERE: To Earl's Cove and back.
RETURN TIME: Early afternoon.
We'll meet at the church, leave by 9 a.m. PROMPTLY and catch the 9:20 Langdale Ferry. 40 minute cross time. If we're first off the boat, we'll head straight to the cove, riding civily through Sechelt/Gibsons, and on the way back hit a restaurant.
If we're last, I propose we grab coffee first at this cool joint on the beach in Sechelt and wait for the traffic to thin out.
We'll hit the 12:20 p.m. ferry back to the mainland.
BTW, this invite is open to auxiliary, volunteer and career members of all disciplines.
Post up if you're interested.
