I've been looking to get back into the sport. Let me know if you need a 4th or a practice partner.Originally Posted by Jester666

it's the closest to where I live.
I'll send you a PM if I/we need one more person.
We often go to the Cameron Rec Centre (N. Bby). I think it's open for badminton on Friday nights, Sunday afternoons, and Monday nights.
Bike's sold - still have some gear left!
Most schools off activities after school. I play Volleyball once a week.
for drop in BCIT is pretty good. they used to have it Tuesday, Thursday, evenings and Sat, Sun mornings. But that was a few years ago since I last played.
In Richmond, Clear one is good, but I think they are not offering dropins anymore, just court bookings. But very nice Olympic mats to play on.
Give me a shout if anyone wants to play. been meaning to get back into playing.
Played today at Bonsor(metrotown) with my neighbour.
It went allright..Interestingly, I was THE ONLY white guy on the floor lol.
Not that I care, it's just kinda funny-to put things in perspective, there was no black or brown guys to be seen either.
I did ok, but MAN can some of these guys play!!
It was packed,too
We had to sit out every other session-meaning rougly 25min play/20 min rest.
Works out ok, who can play 2hrs non-stop anyways?
Anybody got a more precise info on BCIT drop-in schedule?
Good to know Bonsor still attracts the regular crowd. What's the drop-in nowadays, $5.00? I used to play in the early 90's out there on Sunday nights. The rotation sign-on worked really well, as we would rally for 5 min to warm up, and that would leave us 15 to 20 minutes for the game itself...
I agree. THe system is allright.Originally Posted by Mutate Now!
I think the dropin is $4.50 or cheaper if you get a punchcard-pay for nine get 10th free.(used to be pay for 10 get 2 free, but what can you do..inflation and all)
I think it's a great deal.
I can still feel it in my muscles today! it was a heck of a good workout.
There's "Extreme Badminton" on Kingsway and Commercial
