I put a used (and tarnished) pipe on the 9R a couple of weeks ago and I need to find something to help get some shine back. Picked up a can of 'Nevr-Dull" from Home Hardware while I was getting a key cut. I think it cost $9.
It did a very good job on getting the pipe looking nice and shiny. Took approx 5 minutes to apply and polish with a clean cotton rag (the stuff stinks, but doesn't make you stoned, which I guess could be a positive or negative depending on your disposition, I definately recommend wearing gloves though).
The only part it did not do a great job on was the mark left from the pipe clamp (the pipe came from a 6R originally and the clamp position has changed). I didn't really expect it to get all the marks off, as some are quite deep. Still, it removed about 50 of the major marks.
I used the stuff on both the aluminum, as well as the chrome pieces on the pipe and it worked great for both. I repeated the application 3 times trying to get a few extra clamp spots off and I still have about 90% of the can left. It should last 2 - 3 years if I use it once or twice a month.
Mods: I wasn't sure if this belonged in 'tech' or in 'general'.
Hope someone gets use out of this review.
