I'm adding some travel bags to my VFR. I bought a rack from Kappa, sister company to Givi and I need to modify the rack to fit my bike since I added a Micron exhaust last year. On this rack I have two mounting posts that I need to shorten by about an inch. I'm sure that if I invest a half hour with a hack saw I can accomplish this but... but.. this mounting post is hollow with an welded on end cap that will need to be reattached or fabricated from a proper sized washer and a couple of tack welds. So is anyone one this site competant with a welder and have some means of cutting this tubing?
In the attached photo it's the two tubes that the bolts pass through.
