A reminder to all riders ...
This evening I took a ride down Hwy 99 to the Chevron at the Hwy 10 exit. On the way out I was behind a large 1-ton truck, that was behind a large dump truck. Somewhere along the line, one of them kicked up a rock (probably a little smaller than a golf ball) and I took it square in the top of the knee. OUUUUCCHHHHH!!!!
Leaning on the gas tank at 120kms keeping my focus wasn't easy while nursing my throbbing knee the last couple of km's to the gas station.
... then, on the same ride, 5 mns from home in a 50 zone (doin' 60-ish) I flipped my visor up. It was almost 9pm, getting dark and I had my tinted visor on. So? Bug in the eye lid. And as I wiped him out, he stung me and now I am typing to you like a half beaten boxer.
Lesson to be learned:
DON'T ride behind vehicles carring anything; DON'T flip up your visor until you've dismounted from your ride.
... please excuse me, I need some more meds for the eye ....... dumb-ass.
