1ST ANNUAL GASTOWN MOTORCYCLE SHOW N' SHINE
On Sunday, June 5, 2005, the B.C. Coalition of Motorcyclists, in conjunction with the Gastown Business Improvement Society and the Gastown Merchants Association, will be closing down Water Street between Carrall and Richards to put on the first ever Gastown Motorcycle Show n' Shine in the heart of Vancouver!
Come check out hundreds of bikes in ALL MAKES & MODELS lined up along the cobble stone streets of Gastown and your favorite manufacturers displaying the best of their best. Yamaha, Suzuki, Honda, Titan, Harley-Davidson, BMW, and Ducati will all be there in the manufacturers expo. This will be an exciting celebration of motorcycling that you won't want to miss!
THIS EVENT WILL GO RAIN OR SHINE!
This is a free public event.
DON'T MISS THE CHANCE TO DISPLAY YOUR BIKE
There is still some space left, so if you would like to register your bike in the show n' shine just show up at the corner of Cambie and Water at our registration trailer between 9am-12pm with your $15.00 registration fee. To speed things up you can come with your registration form already filled out (forms available at www.bccom-bc.com). There is limited space available, so please note that if you have not already pre-registered your bike they will be entered on a first come, first serve basis. There will be over 20 classes and 1st & 2nd place trophies in each category plus a few specialty categories and proceeds will go to Canuck Place Children's Hospice (www.canuckplace.org).
ACCESS TO EVENT FOR MOTORCYCLES REGISTERED & REGISTERING
All participants entered in the show n' shine will need to enter Water Street from CAMBIE where they can check in at our red registration trailer and be placed. Please note that no trucks or trailers will be allowed onto Cambie between Cordova and Water, just bikes.
TIME LINE FOR JUNE 5th:
Fashion Show: 12pm-3:30pm
Awards Ceremony: 5pm
Free motorcycle parking will be available on Abbott between Cordova and Water Street. There will also be signs posted that read "special event, no parking" on Cordova between Richards & Abbott and on Alexander between Columbia and Carrall, these areas are okay for motorcycles to park. Parking will also be available on Cambie between Cordova and Water after registration ends at 12pm.
