Hmm i dunno, those are harsh words Kev. I think that's better than a DNF due to "rearset problems" in the pro race? How were u running up until that point? And that kept you out of your second pro race also?Originally Posted by mosquito
Ouch. that last one hurts. What is it you're saving for Kevin.. courage?
Sweet, I can't wait to meet you. I have seen some of your pics from Colin & Amber they are awesome. We are gonna pit with them on Sunday, so hopefully we will see you.Originally Posted by BBones

Man your sporting some serious attitude?? What gives? Do you really think I was seriously calling you a pussy? I was just kidding around. Take a pill and cool off.
Do you think I like racing in the rain? IT SUCKS!!, but it's part of the sport. What makes you think I have all kinds of money? If you want to race in the AMA your money problems are just beginning. Good luck with that.
What is with the bashing of WMRC, its members, and racing at Mission? If you do not like the club, join the executive and change it. I didn’t see you at the last meeting standing up to be nominated for a position. No one is forcing you to race at Mission. I think the volunteers are doing a great job and I try to tell them that regularly!
You have to qualify to make dead last. I'm sure all your podium finishes from Mission will help you with that endeavour Kevin. Best of luck. Hope to see your name in lights. May your rearsets never fail.
blah blah blah, whine, whine, whine. I enjoy my day at the track as much as the next guy. Pro, Amateur, Novice who cares. Front runner, back marker, it doesn't matter. I have been at the back, at the middle and at the front, but my attitude never changes. It beats working until I hear people bitch about the club and it's people. They are volunteers who care more for the sport than most people. That is why I like Mission. I was refused to the pro class as well, but I would rather prove myself than whine about it. Pull up your skirt and let's go racing.
Nice! Exactly what I was just thinking. I think some people use the "black numbers" as a bragging right. I have more respect for a front running Amateur than a pylon in the Pro class (and WMRC has a couple. haha). Look at the guys who have raced Amateur forever, and guys that should have stayed Novice forever (like Ted. tee hee) but still having a blast.Originally Posted by Rainman
I think it funny when riders talk about being bumped to a faster class for safety issues.
I run Novice, and from what I can tell, 99% of the Novice class is out there to have fun, not break any records or prove themselves to anyone. With that, the Novice class has had far less incidents this season so far then almost any other class. The fast riders do an excellent job of negotiating traffic when they come up on it, and the slower guys are good enough no to do anything silly when they know they are being lapped. You will not get the traffic issues in any class as bad as you see in Novice, so for that, I give the entire Novice class to this point a thumbs up for being one of the safest groups out there.
Hater of slower deceitful and backstabbing individuals
i'm going to pass on some unbiased perspective here. i have practised with, and raced with, some pros whose lines are atrocious, and some amateurs whose lines are atrocious, and some novices whose lines are exceptionally good. anyone who says they want to race up a class for safety issues, are in my mind full of BS. the one thing we as racers should strive for is consistency. there is no comment more rewarding than being told we hold the line. when we can pass a slower rider comfortably and not pay attention to what they are doing, you are a racer. there is no worse excuse than so and so balked me, or i got held up. deal with it. the onus is on the fast rider to make a clean pass, not the slower riders who are riding as hard as they can. stay in whatever class you're in, for as long as you can, and learn. just because you can run a fifteen, does not mean you're safe, or consistent. learn to run in traffic, and not be fazed by someone rubbing your tire, or leaning on you in turn one. and thain, great post. we all tend to forget sometimes to have fun playing this game.

Hey, what about my post! It was great too! Just 'cause I dissed you Ted doesn't mean it wasn't great.Originally Posted by oldsquid
