so i was wondering what other people thought about the graduated liscencing deal.
I understand what ICBC is trying to do but i find the situation im in very frustrating.
Im new to motorcycles so i know im not experienced. I have been riding in the dirt with my dad and I completed a course with action. I also raced mountain bikes for a long time and being on two wheels is like walking for me but im still not allowed to take my road test for a year. This seems like such garbage because i know i am a more qualified rider than alot of folks i see. Dont get it twisted...i think Dat put it best "there are 50 levels of riding and you arent even level 1"..i completely understand that im still so far in the realm of beginner. That being said i dont understand why riding at night is such a problem..is it because of visability?..cus i was under the impression that if you asume you are visable during the day you're dead. if anything a headlight stands out more at night. When i did my road rides with action we were out at night both times...how did we get away with that?....I guess the one year waiting period is to let me gain experience..but some one could get an "L" not touch there bike for a year and go do their test..meanwhile i ride everyday rain or shine and i got 10 months to go..
i guess i feel like there should be some way to chalenge the test or somthing
though i completely agree with waiting for the passenger thing..responsability for you own life is one thing but some one elses is way different..
