Just finished Troy's school in May and will be in the August 1 novice race. I'm going to do the WCSS Track Daze on the 4th and I do a few BB nights when I can. So here's the list of questions I've got, maybe the more experienced racers can post up some tips??
What is a good exercise regiment to get improved muscle endurance and flexibility?
So far I do the stationary bike for about 20 minute sessions after a warm up, couple of sets of all the leg machines and have a good stretch after another 30 minutes of cardio.
Where can I practice starts?
What is the best way to get good use out of practice time at the track. A business acquiantance of mine who races in Ontario suggested concentrating on perfecting one or two corners in each session, trying to perfect the line, body positioning etc.
The same Ontario racer suggested that especially in a Novice race, don't try to go flying into turn 1 off the start. This is where most of the hot shots try to get a half dozen positions and wind up collecting somebody. IS this relevant for Mission?
I just got my DbCom transmitter from a WMRRA racer, but it has no case. Is there anything I CAN"T use? I have a soft case for a digital camera I was going to use.
Thanks in advance for the help.
