For about a week now when i apply the rear brake i can hear a sort of brushing noise, like a piece of wool cloth rubbing against metal and sometimes even when the brake isn't applied I can hear it. I looked at the rear brake and the top part is slightly loose, as in i can move the part in the middle that actually compresses a little bit.
I felt the brake disk to check the surface, the outer half on the inside of the disk is rough, something has damaged it, but the inner half is still smooth.
Any idea what the hell happend to my brakes? I don't live anywhere a near a shop and i work till 5:30pm Mon to Friday. I need some advice.
Should I tighten the two bolts on the outside with a large allen key? Is it supposes to be loose? Help?
Oh I can still see both brake pads and they look fine and are still in position and I still have plenty of brake fluid.
