hey team, spoke with al beck this morning and thought i'd post up a few ideas for everyone to digest. first, by complying with al's wishes for stock exhausts on all the racebikes, we stand a better chance with the council when they see the effort we're putting forth to keep noise down. second, if we don't make the effort, see langley speedway. third, i don't like it anymore than the next racer but what are my options? pacific raceway, portland, sure i can travel to race, but i like having a track in my backyard so i'm going to do what i can to keep racing alive here. unlike some of you, i saw westwood go down, and the intervening years were not good to motorcycle racing here in b.c. lastly, even though it seems we're getting the short end of the stick, the only actions we can control at this time are ours. collectively we can meet this head on with all the effort we can muster to make our bikes as quiet as possible. this is the only option. for my fellow racers who have spent huge on aftermarket exhaust systems i know words can't help at this time, but who foresaw this happening? doesn't impress me to know that my big dollar hindle ti system has to come off. all of us have known from the first time we got on the track that the noise issue was has been showing us a wheel. to say we didn't think it was going to get worse, is just plain ignorant. it's ok to rant concerning this turn of events, i'm with you on that, but we have no plan b. for the sake of al's sanity, and the club's survival, put stock exhaust on. and keep this in mind, forget the 88 db thing. aim for 60 db. anybody interested in my titanium system?
