Wake up call (Rider Down)
I rarely post, mostly just check out the threads.
Anyway I was driving from Vancouver to Alberta Friday afternoon. About 65km West of Golden I passed something I could not believe. There was a bunch of cars pulled over to the side and a wrecked bike. All that was left was a frame, motor and pipes. It looked to be cruiser style (Closer to a V Max). The rest of the bike was strewn around the ditch and hiway. The tank and seat were 5 meters from the frame. I didnt see the front or rear tires or suspension.
The hair on the back of my neck stood up , Im still in shock.
Didnt see a rider, lots of ambulances and police cars back and forth the #1.
Then less than an hour later traffic stopped for and hour and a half as another acciedent was cleaned up. 2 vans, totaled. Looks like they used the jaws of life to open up the side of each van.
Hope all are well but because of the way it looked I dont really know.
Not suprised you ran across some accidents. The girlfriend and I were driving back from Jasper on friday and two cars blow by us over double yellows on a curve. With the rain etc. Apparently 110 is too slow for some between Blue River and Kamloops. Gets scary out there and its not always the weather/roads that worry me the most.
