Hi guys, Just picked up an 03 CBR600f4i, runs really well.. For the first couple weeks i had it, it would start well, maybe the occasional hiccup, but then i let it sit for a couple weeks, (it got rained on 2 or 3 times, dunno if that matters) and went to start it back up, and the dash lit up, fuel pump went, but attempting to start it, i could tell the battery was dead. after one attempt it was totally out. So i push started it, and rode around for 15-20 minutes or so. Immediately after i stopped the bike, if i shut it off, i could start it again no problem, but if i bring it back in, shut it off and leave it overnight, by the next day, same problem. Dash lights up, not enough juice to crank. Ive done the 15-20 minute ride a few times, and it happens every time. I have the suggested Yuasa YTZ10S battery.
I just went and picked up a new battery today, but should i maybe let this battery sit on a trickle charger for 10h (recommended) and see if its still good? I thought these batteries should last a bit longer?
(Also, dunno if it makes a difference, but Im in Miami with the bike, its quite a bit hotter here. :P)
Thanks for any input in advance
