Reports on CNN say everyone lived but there are some injuries.

Church doors are always open to whoever wants to enter, but they're only open to those who are willing to be sheep. The service of God is really service to those self-proclaimed holy men who hold the franchise. Accumulating material grandeur is the goal, not the improvement of the people's lives. Independent thought is discouraged. Raising the individual up is not part of the plan; keeping the flock docile, distracted, and deluded is what it's all about.

I'm friggin AMAZED that everyone survived. Kudos to the crew of THAT flight, they earned their dues. And props to all the rescue personnel.

Kinda bizarre that passengers were flagging down people on the 401.. wtf??

Heard on CTV shortly after the incident, that the co-pilot actually staggered to the highway and flagged down a motorist who immediately drove him to the hospital.

I got something you don't know
Well according to the news the Air France jetliner had already done a missed approach or a go-around, (the media at this point can't seem to get their stories straight) and was comming back in for another try!!. The Captain decided it was ok to land since atc was vectoring aircraft in for the ILS runway 24L and several aircraft had already landed safely.

What I find interesting is the media hasn't reported that because of the airport closure due to Air France going off the runway a KLM 747 declared a PAN PAN PAN emergency due to low fuel and requested vectors to Syracuse. I'm guessing that the KLM flight encounterd stronger than normal headwinds comming over the north atlantic and ended up going into their reserve fuel. The PAN was radioed only a couple of minutes after ATC cancelled all approach clearances.

I kinda wondered if maybe the captain landed at a much higher airspeed than the POH allows in those weather conditions. Those tires are rated, and have a max landing speed/weight, so i figured the tires blew and the aircraft skidded down and off the runway..Leevi? i dunno, that was one of my many assumptions.
