Unfortunately I've recently collided with an SUV at about 40-50 klicks and my poor Sv1000s is a writeoff. No broken bones, but I've been sore all week and I can't play any sports for a while. Unfortunately all the riding techniques in the world doesn't mean squat when you're trying to avoid an SUV flying into you out of nowhere although I guess it slows the impact.
Any ways, I'm not going to be riding much in the cities anymore and I'll be sticking to highways and canyon roads and off roading as it's too risky riding in traffic with morons around (especially in August for some reason). Besides street riding's lame anyways when you're on a bike with 105bhp.
I'll be in the market for a new bike (hopefully soon) and I've narrowed it down to a couple of choices...
1.) 04-05 GSXR 750
750 is the best 4 banger bike out there for what I want to do with it and it costs less in price and insurance than the liter class bikes do.
On the other hand, the DRZ400s is basically a street legal dirt bike so I won't have to haul it in a pickup to get to ride it everyday, and it's cheaper on gas/insurance. But chicks don't dig dual sports.
Any other pros/cons you can think of before I shell out the dough?
