So I've been riding for 2 seasons now, on a completely stock machine, so I thought it was about time to start upgrading.
I don't really have a lot of money to through into my bike, so I went at it poor man style, and damn is it starting to pull together.
First I did the old " Paint a windscreen" trick, bought a stock screen from my bud for 5 bucks and a can o' paint for another five and shit does it make a HUGE difference in what she looks like, I went with metallic black so It goes with my bikes frame.
The big mod was the exhaust. You guys have probably seen stock cans cut into shorty cans before. The only thing I hadn't seen was someone straightpipe theirs. So thats what I did. Its surprisingly humble when its idling, really nice and throaty, but when I rev it it sounds like a freakin V8. We figured its about 115 decibles because its louder than my friends micron and his is rated at 105. We also figure that it added close to 10 horse, cuz it sure feels more powerful, but we''ll let the dyno figure that one out
I know this thread is worthless without pics, but I still have to polish the can tomorrow, then I'lll post up a before and after of the work in progress.
Sorry about the quality of the pics, hadda us my phone cuz i don't have any batteries for the cam.....believe me these pics don't do it justice but they give the general idea
