    Question Should I remove fairings?

I'll be doing the ART course next week and I don't have sliders (yet) on my bike. I was thinking about just removing most of the plastic work, just in case I drop the thing. What do you guys think about this?

If it'll help with your peace of mind then surel, do it. But if you ride within your limits and concentrate on using what they teach you to raise those limits in a controlled manner then you won't have any problem. It's usually the folks that get caught up in the whole process and try too hard too soon that dump it. If that sounds like you then sure take them off.
A backyard mechanic without a service manual is just like a hooker without a lamp pole.... they are both in the dark.
