well I've been pricing out a new system and looking a bit at toms hardware but its soo hard to be fully up to date on all chipsets, motherboard advantages etc so if anyone spots any flaw to this rig let me know as I'm up for input.

thats the main bits anyway, I know the 7800 is a bit of a splurge but I dont know if I want to go with an sli board.
I do visual effects for tv and feature film and need a home system that I can work on personal projects for. I also want a gamer rig that can last me about 2 years
my current list of crap when checked on ncix runs about the $2400 range.
I'm trying to get something thats fast, good for 3d and for games. but quiet, my wife complains constantly about my current jet engine of a computer.
any ideas or thoughts on my list?
