    Difference between 03- 05 Honda 600RR.

    1. What are the performance difference between the 03,04, and 05 models?

    2. Are there any cosmetic changes between the 3 years?

    3. Is there something special that I should wait for the 2006 or 2007?

    Thanks

2005 has the inverted front forks and redesigned intakes on the front fairing..

I had an '03rr and test rode a '05rr side by side and you definitely feel the weight difference going from one bike to the other... the '05 felt way less top heavy. The front suspension was also somewhat sharper/more responsive on the '05. The motor had slightly more pull in the mid-range but felt exactly the same as my '03 as I had dropped 1 tooth down on the front sprocket.

All in all, I personally don't think you'll be able to find a huge difference between the '03/'04's and '05 on the street unless you had a chance to ride both like I did.

Not sure how much of a change is slated for 2006 but 2007 should see some redesign if Honda keeps to their 2 year schedule.

On thing I will say is '03 - '05 rr's seats are really uncomfortable for longer-ish rides (more than 3 hours).

I've turned a lot of laps on a more or less stock 2003 600RR. It's a good bike. The biggest thing that it's missing is mid-range power. It makes plenty of top end but is pretty flat and boring in the middle. That being said, it's also more forgiving and easy to ride for that feature. I can't say anything about weight. All these new bikes feel like video games compared to the tanks I usually ride. Stability is great.......as hard as I try to make it bobble or slide, it never seems to go down.

03/04 are pretty much the same bike. 05 was updated. Good bike from what I hear. There's gobs of them out there.

Forget the '08. I heard they're releasing a Vancouver Edition 600RR in 2010 that will be the fastest because of the Olympics. It's gonna be nuts!

As long as it doesn't have that gay assed olympic symbol I might get one.

F***'n olympics taking away our Indy.
I'd rather have 1 weekend every year then 2 weeks of olymcrap per 1000 years

'08 is a special year. You'll just have to wait and see what they're planning.

errrrrrrr - Indy going had nothing to do with Olympics, had everything to do with housing developments in Yaletown.
